NOTICE OF PUBLIC BATHING BEACH CLOSURE

As of Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 3:58PM Kalmus Beach (ocean side) remains closed due to exceedances of Enterococci Bacteria above the geometric mean threshold.

Additionally, Eugenia Fortes Beach is now closed due to exceedances of Enterococci Bacteria above the geometric mean threshold.

As a result of this exceedance, these beaches do not meet 105 CMR 4445.00, Minimum Standards for Bathing Beaches, and are required to be closed to swimming. Beach closure signage will be posted.

Re-samples were collected and results will be shared once available.

As of Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 3:58PM, Keyes Beach has been re-opened to swimming. The re-opening comes after a water re-test sample collected reported appropriate conditions.
