A potentially toxic cyanobacteria bloom has been detected in:
Mashpee Pond, Mashpee
The town notified APCC that they posted a Potential for Concern for this pond because of a visual scum. If you have any questions, contact the Mashpee health department.
You can view the most recent sampling date and results on our interactive map. The map will update to reflect this information at 8 p.m. tonight.
Avoid contact, particularly incidental ingestion of pond water that can occur during swimming. Dogs and children are especially susceptible to cyanotoxins through ingestion.

If you see a possible bloom in a pond, avoid it and notify your local board of health. Take a picture, note the location and date and send to cyano@apcc.org
