Cape Cod Academy Water Days

2 workers - Water Quality Sampling

For the past three years, Barnstable Clean Water Coalition has partnered with Cape Cod Academy to educate students on impacts of excess nitrogen and stormwater runoff in local waters. Four green technology projects were designed and developed to demonstrate potential solutions to degraded water quality in ponds and bays. Students visited several project sites including an oyster farm in North Bay, a bio-retention rain garden at Cotuit Town Dock, and a stormwater treatment system at Mill Pond.
