We are passing along this notification (above) from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) regarding
Flax Pond, Nickerson State Park, Brewster
You will find the most recent sampling date and results for ponds being monitored under APCC’s cyanobacteria monitoring program on our interactive map. While we do not monitor ponds in Nickerson State Park, we have indicated this advisory on our map.
Avoid contact, particularly incidental ingestion of pond water that can occur during swimming. Dogs and children are especially susceptible to cyanotoxins through ingestion.

If you see a possible bloom in a pond, avoid it and notify your local board of health. Take a picture, note the location and date and send to cyano@apcc.org
